Master Dayanand Memorial Educational Trust was established in October 2007.
Under this trust, Sanskaram College of Veterinary and Animal Science (Sanskaram COVAS),
Jhajjar, Haryana, has been established with broad vision, mission and mandate.
The college is affiliated with Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and
Animal Sciences (LUVAS), Hisar. The Institute follows all the rules and regulations
set by Veterinary Council of India, and course curriculum for B.V.Sc & A.H and VLDD
run according to latest VCI minimum standard of Veterinary Education (MSVE- 2016-17).
The Sanskaram COVAS consists of modern buildings, audio-visual laboratories,
residential accommodation for the faculty and separate hostel for boys and girls
with all the amenities. Department of Veterinary Clinical Complex serves the need
of remedies for all animals including wild animals, diagnosis and treatment of diseases,
clinical teaching and various veterinary extension activities. It is well-equipped with
modern facilities viz. Ultrasonography, Small and Large Animal
X-ray Machines, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for Small and Large Animals,
Small Animal Nebulization
& Electrocardiography, Operation Theatres, Artificial Insemination (AI),
Physiotherapy Equipments, Blood Testing and Faecal Testing Facility.
Well functional Livestock Farm Complex (LFC) is available within the campus.
It is a constituent of Dairy, Buffalo, Sheep, Goat, Piggery, Poultry and Fodder
Production units. The animal units are functioning with the objectives to serve as
an instructional farm, to maintain elite flocks of Murrah Buffalo, Cattle, Sheep,
Goats, Pigs, Chicken, and Turkeys. Scientific management, Breeding, Feeding and Housing
follows at LFC to improve the productive and reproductive performance of animals.
Our Ambulatory Clinical Service is available within a 40 kilometer radius of Jhajjar.
If you can’t bring your animals to the hospital, or simply prefer not to, let us bring
our exemplary care to you. Although most of our ambulatory visits occur within 40 kilometer
of Jhajjar district, we are happy to travel farther by special arrangement.
Our Animal Hospital Clinicians offers a variety of on-the-farm services,
from individual animal care to herd health.
In addition, our college conducted many free clinical camps in several districts of the
state to educate the farmers regarding aspects of prevention and control of different diseases.
In each camp, 50 to 100 animals were diagnosed for their illnesses, treated and operated upon.
On an average, 4-5 such camps were organized every month. This practiced will be continued
further in the Haryana, Gurugram and other adjoining cities.
