Department of Veterinary Clinical Complex serves the need of remedies of all animals including wild animals, diagnosis of diseases, clinical teaching and various veterinary extension activities. Average 2,500 clinical cases of various animal species in Medicine, Gynaecology, Surgery and the pet animal section are provided treatment and about 1,000 samples have been examined in diagnostic laboratory annually. Furthermore, VCC will provide clinical teaching programme to impart the need based practical training in animal health to the undergraduate students.
At present, following facilities are available under this department:
- Out Patient Department (OPD) facilities for Veterinary Medicine, Gynaecology & Surgery.
- Small animal radiography.
- Small and Large animal abdominal and reproductive ultrasonography.
- Small animal Electrocardiography.
- Small animal nebulization.
- Small animal & large animal soft & hard tissue surgery.
- Small animal & large animal Artificial Insemination (AI).
- All species Parasitological examinations of both stool & blood.
- Routine haematological examinations of all species.
- Routine urine analysis of all species.
- Routine skin scrapping examination facilities.
- Necropsy (post mortem examination) of all species.
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for small and large animals.
