The Department of Animal Nutrition is imparting teaching to students of B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree
course in accordance with MSVE 2016 VCI guidelines and to VLDD students in accordance
with LUVAS, Hisar guidelines. The department has all the facility as per the criteria of MSVE
2016 guideline of VCI. The faculty members of the department are highly qualified with
expertise in development of novel feed resources and the enhancement of straw's nutritional
value. The department has mostly focused on teaching and research in the area of animal
nutrition. The department has also participated in various extension activities related to safe
feeding of urea, use of by-pass protein and fat; and balanced feeding to livestock and poultry,
with a focus on increased animal production and higher benefit to the farmers. The department
has been actively involved in extension activities, village awareness initiatives, and ration
balancing education for dairy farmers.
